PNC BROADWAY IN LOUISVILLE ANNOUNCES EXCITING 2014-2015 SEASON

PNC Broadway in Louisville all-new 2014-2015 season includes the triumphant return of one of Louisville’s favorites, Disney’s THE LION KING! The five-show package also includes I LOVE LUCY® LIVE ON STAGE, NEWSIES, ONCE and PIPPIN.
“We are so happy to again bring in new productions this season and feel this line-up is both contemporary and nostalgic,” says PNC Broadway in Louisville president Leslie Broecker. “For the first time in many years, four of the five shows are currently running on Broadway! We continue to ask our audiences what they want to see and we strive to deliver, which is evident from an 18% growth in subscriptions in the 2013/2014 season and 12% growth the previous season. We believe the new line-up will sustain this 3 year growth trajectory.”

Prices for the five-show season ticket package range between $150 and $557 depending on seat location.

I LOVE LUCY® LIVE ON STAGE October 7-12, 2014
I LOVE LUCY® LIVE ON STAGE is the brand-new hit stage show adapted from the most beloved program in television history! It’s 1952 and you are a member of the Desilu Playhouse studio audience awaiting the filming of two hilarious and oh-so-familiar I LOVE LUCY® episodes. A charming host entertains and enlightens you to the behind-the-scenes filming process of this brand new thing called “television,” the Crystaltone Singers perform advertising jingles in perfect 50s style harmony and the sidesplitting antics of America’s favorite foursome – Lucy, Ricky, Fred and Ethel – are presented live on stage and in color for the very first time! It’s a one-of-a-kind theatrical experience TV Guide’s William Keck calls “the most entertaining stage production I’ve seen in years – including Broadway!” The truth is in the title – whether young or old, everybody really does LOVE LUCY!

GHOST The Musical

Relive the iconic and magical moments from the Oscar-winning movie Ghost in a brand-new Broadway musical. Ghost The Musical breathes glorious new life into a timeless love story. The musical features an original pop score from multiple Grammy Award-winners Dave Stewart, one half of the 80s pop duo the Eurythmics, and Glen Ballard, co-writer with Alanis Morissette on the multi-platinum album Jagged Little Pill, among many other notable credits and collaborations. The musical’s tale of everlasting love is thrilling entertainment for audiences of all ages.
Adapted from the hit film by its Academy Award-winning screenwriter Bruce Joel Rubin, Ghost the Musical follows Sam and Molly, a young couple whose connection takes a shocking turn after Sam's untimely death. Trapped between two worlds, Sam refuses to leave Molly when he learns she is in grave danger. Desperate to communicate with her, he turns to a storefront psychic who helps him protect Molly and avenge his death.
The Book of Mormon

Ben Brantley of The New York Times calls it “the best musical of this century.” Entertainment Weekly says it’s “the funniest musical of all time.” From South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone, it’s The Book of Mormon, winner of nine Tony Awards® including Best Musical. Jon Stewart of The Daily Show calls it “a crowning achievement. So good it makes me angry.”
The Book of Mormon features book, music and lyrics by Trey Parker, Robert Lopez and Matt Stone. Parker and Stone are the four-time Emmy Award-winning creators of the landmark animated series, “South Park.” Tony Award-winner Lopez is co-creator of the long-running hit musical comedy, Avenue Q. The musical is choreographed by Tony Award-winner Casey Nicholaw (Monty Python’s Spamalot, The Drowsy Chaperone) and is directed by Nicholaw and Parker.
