MeX Initiatives
Since opening in 1987, the Boyd Martin Experimental Theater (the MeX) at The Kentucky Center has supported local theaters and performers, providing a small, professionally outfitted venue at affordable rates. Through the MeX Initiative, The Kentucky Center also promotes the artistic development of local theater artists, offering them opportunities to succeed and grow in their theatrical pursuits.
The Initiative consists of Conversations with accomplished professional artists and Master Classes, events that are open not only to those involved in the local theater scene, but also to anyone with an interest in the arts. In the future we hope to offer extended Workshops and classes to engage local artists more intensively in topics ranging from design to acting, directing and stage management.
