Philosopher and democracy advocate Christopher Phillips will take the IF audience through a spirited and timely discussion of democracy, framed in large part around Jeffersonian ideas of freedom and liberty. This will include an examination of the relevance of Jefferson’s ideas to contemporary American democracy as well as emerging democracies around the world.
