Individual Giving

All contributions are used to support Kentucky Center presentations, arts education programs and Access Services. The Kentucky Center is not a member agency of the Fund for the Arts, although we support its mission. The Kentucky Center receives an annual appropriation from the Commonwealth of Kentucky; however, it is used for facility maintenance and partial support of the Governor’s School for the Arts.

There are as many ways to contribute to The Kentucky Center as there are programs that we offer. Questions? Please contact Jennifer Webb, Director, Membership and Donor Relations, jwebb@kentuckycenter.org, (502) 562-0159.

Education and Governor's School for the Arts

A student painting a picture Part of our mission is to serve children and educators through statewide arts education programs. Our many programs, including the Governor’s School for the Arts, remain unmatched by any other performing arts center of comparable size in the nation. More than 100,000 youth are served annually through our education programs.

Access Services

Our Access Services ensure that everyone can experience the wonders of the performing arts without barriers or restrictions. Audio Description provides live descriptions for the visually impairs, while Captioned Theater offers the deaf and hard of hearing a way to enjoy performances. Assistive Listening provides infrared hearing devices for the hearing impaired.

Arts in Healing

A woman waving flags as part of Arts in Healing Through our Arts in Healing program, the Center partners with Kentucky’s vibrant arts scene and Louisville’s renowned healthcare providers to take national and international touring artists beyond the walls of traditional concert venues and into healthcare settings, providing quality performances and interactive arts events to many people. With the generosity of our donors the Center furthers our mission service to the Commonwealth by confirming its position as a cultural innovator committed to weaving the thread of the arts into the fabric of the entire community.
