                Months of Internship: Flexible

    Hours:           Flexible        20 hours per week       10-20 hours per week

    Note:              Non-paid position, but opportunity to gain considerable experience and education.
    Position Goals:

    • To gain administrative experience in a performing arts environment by serving as the assistant to the Vice President of Customer Services and supporting the daily operations of Arts in Healing, Access Services, and Audience Services
    • To gain a realistic understanding of the execution of Customer Services strategies for The Kentucky Center

    Position Duties:

    • Process contracts, purchase orders, and invoices
    • Update schedules, incident reports, and program budgets
    • Put together grant reporting binders including all work plans, evaluations, and photos
    • Responsible for program signage
    • Assist/complete any other projects as directed by supervisors
    • Proof and edit various documents and materials produced by/through the department
    • Compile and analyze statistics from survey data in Arts in Healing initiative, to include assisting with web based survey tools
    • Assist/complete any other special projects as directed

    Special Project Opportunities:

    • Assist/complete any other special projects as directed
    • Research and propose, with the potential to assist in implementing, strategies to improve customer service in bar and lobby sales areas
    • Assist with annual volunteer recognition event, Standing Ovation ‘10
    • Assist with compiling resource manual for services designed to complement House Management Coordinator role in planning and executing events

    Requirements:

    Requirements/Experience Needed:

    Ÿ         Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    Ÿ         Excellent organization skills

    Ÿ         Must be able to work in a changing environment with a broad range of people

    Ÿ         Must be able to multi task and work under pressure

    Ÿ         Must be punctual, reliable, detail oriented and self-motivated

    Desired Majors:  All majors will be considered / Arts Administration a plus
