- To accurately and completely process accounts payable for the
- To create daily deposits for The Kentucky Center and the Kentucky Center Endowment
- To process all paper work necessary to ensure that the
- Process payment requests and expense reports following department procedures.
Research and follow up on outstanding invoices.
- Complete weekly check run and upload checks printed to the Bank’s web site.
- Complete daily scan of check deposits for The Kentucky Center and the Kentucky Center Endowment. Provide documentation to departments as required.
- Prepare deposit slips and transport cash deposit to the bank on a regular basis.
- Complete schedule of deposits for the
general ledger.
- Reconcile state funds utilized and remaining general fund appropriation on a monthly basis
- Submit electronic credit transactions as necessary. Complete schedule of veriphones processed. Forward to Accounting Department personnel for posting to the
general ledger.
- Post miscellaneous monthly journal entries from Center departments i.e. payroll, supplies, postage
- Maintain accurate accounts payable subsidiary ledger. Post accounts payable accurately to general ledger. Reconcile accounts payable subsidiary ledger to the
general ledger.
- Prepare monthly outstanding check listing to aid in the bank reconciliation.
- Assist Department personnel in the custody of company credit cards and sign in/out as required.
- Maintain accurate records of outstanding gift certificates
- Maintain accurate files of purchase orders, including blank stock and
- Process IRS 1099 forms annually.
- Calculate and input journal entries into general ledger as necessary.
- Maintain up-to- date and complete accounts payable files.
- Assist in auditing preparation as requested.
- Perform miscellaneous tasks and other special projects as requested. .
· Must maintain close working relationship with all other
· Must be able to maintain effective working relationship with vendor and state government employees.
· Must maintain confidentiality of all accounting information. Must read and sign the Confidentiality Statement.
POSTITIONS REQUIRMENTS:
· Minimum of two years of computerized accounts payable experience preferred.
· High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be well organized, detail-oriented and able to identify and meet deadlines.
- Must be able to handle a large volume of work.
- Must be highly motivated, dependable and have good interpersonal skills.
- Must be flexible to work occasional overtime and to work under deadlines, especially at month-end and beginning of month.
- Must possess required computer competencies per the attached checklist.
- It is expected that the successful candidate will be innovative and suggest ways to simplify and streamline procedures.
