Pianist Nada and New Albany Community Orchestra

The New Albany Community Orchestra is pretty special.

Founded on the premise that everyone should be able to take part, it has attracted players of all ages and abilities, from complete beginners to professional musicians who generously share their talents with the less experienced players.

Instruments and lessons are provided for those that cannot afford them, and music is simplified where needed to make sure that it is within the capabilities of each player.

In this program of popular classics, the orchestra shows what is possible if everyone is given an equal opportunity and the needed encouragement. After the intermission, they are joined by internationally renowned Lebanese-Hungarian Pianist Nada in a performance of the well-loved Piano Concerto no. 21 by Mozart (“Elvira Madigan”).

All proceeds from this concert will be donated to the New Albany Community Orchestra.

SCENE at the Center, our small plates eatery, offers bar and food service two hours prior to most performances in Whitney Hall and the Bomhard Theater. Kitchen service ends as the curtain rises, but beverage service will continue throughout the performances and extend through midnight on Friday and Saturday nights.
