Summer Program Faculty Positions

GSA hires faculty annually by contract for the three-week summer program. Faculty areas of focus include architecture+design, creative writing, dance, drama, instrumental music, musical theatre, film + photography, visual art and vocal music. The summer program faculty & staff also consist of a Counselor-in-Residence and a GSA Documentarian.  All positions for 2018 Summer Program are currently filled; but if you are interested in 2019 Summer Program please email your resume/CV and cover letter to Program Director Nick Covault.


Summer Program Staff Positions

There are a lot of people who make GSA happen every year and most of them are our Summer Program Staff. The Summer Program Staff at GSA consists of Residential Advisors, Co-Residential Supervisors, Discipline Assistants, and Administrative Interns. Positions are now closed for the 2018 Summer Program. Guest Artist Opportunities

GSA hires guest artists to provide instruction, workshops, presentations and/or performances at our summer program, fall ArtShops, and other various activities throughout the year. Additionally, a need for accompanists and/or additional audition adjudicators arises from time to time.

To be considered for any accompanist, teaching or guest artist opportunities with GSA (including visiting teaching artist or guest presenter) please submit an electronic résumé or curriculum vitae, accompanied by a cover letter/message to Nick Covault indicating your specific interests in working with GSA.


Recruitment Coordinators & Alumni Performing Arts Roster

The Kentucky Center Governor’s School for the Arts (GSA) looks for Part-Time Recruitment Coordinators every fall . The goal of the recruiter is to positively impact the number of applicants and students served by the various programs of GSA by visiting local high schools, arts/community centers and organizations. Recruitment will take place during the months of September, October, November and December.
Recruitment Coordinators have been hired for the 2016-2017 school year, but those interested in applying for next year should send a resume and cover letter to GSA.

GSA often calls upon alumni to represent the program at public events, receptions, and program fundraisers.  Additionally, the reputation of GSA’s distinguished alumni leads people from across the state to request the artistic product of those who have gone through our summer program. Could you provide background music at a reception?
