October Alumni Highlights

Alec Elmore (Drama, 2017), Joey Heberle (Drama,  2017) and Mitchell Martin (Drama, 2008) are in The Crucible at Commonwealth Theatre Center


Megan Pillow Davis (Creative Writing 1994) has been named the Pen Parentis Writing Fellow for 2018-19, her novel is a semifinalist for the YesYes Books first Fiction Open Reading Period, and she is the co-managing editor for Frank X. Walker’s pluck! A Journal of Affrilachian Arts and Culture. She just entered her fifth year of her Ph.D. program at the University of Kentucky. 


Evan Pride
(Drama, 2015)  is starring as Seymour in their upcoming production of Little Shop of Horrors at the University of Kentucky (Oct. 26-29)

Taylor Schulz (Drama, 2008) and Curtis Lipsey (Drama 2013) are in AthensWest Theatre Company's production of Our Town! The show runs from October 6 - 22.

Hunter Trammell (Drama, 2017)  stars in the movie "House of the Witch" which premiers on SyFy channel at 9p.m. on Saturday, October 7.

Taylor Travis (Film + Photography) is going to be an intern for the film, Star Light. Which is being filmed in Kentucky and produced by Jeff Allador (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre) and directed by Lee Cummings (producer of Mamma Mia) Star Light, is about a boy who assists a pop star in escaping from her violent pursuers.

Emery Wainscott (Creative Writing, 2017) has been named  Commended Students in the 2018 National Merit Scholarship program.
