Professional Development
The Kentucky Center offers two kinds of professional development seminars for teachers:
Arts Academies and the Kentucky Institute for Arts in Education. Both the
Academies and the Institute are designed to involve participants in hands-on
experiences in the arts in ways that have practical applications for the
classroom and are aligned with Kentucky Core Content and Program of
Studies. The Academies and Institutes feature speakers representing
regional and statewide cultural resources, and an arts-infused field trip
designed to demonstrate how the arts can be used to further explore and
respond to a field trip setting.
