Prepare Your Digital Submission
Your art form specific digital submission must include:
-- Scales and/or Rudiments
-- Prepared Solo(s)
-- Personal Question
3 videos total, video must be .MP4
Guidelines for Recording Your Video
Videos which do not adhere to guidelines will not be reviewed.
-- Record your video in a clearly defined interior space with a neutral background that is free of
creases and breaks.
-- Shoot straight on, leaving the camera in one location. You and your hands must be visible the entire
-- No edits, splicing, stops or pauses are allowed.
--No human or technological assistance (metronomes, tuners) are allowed.
--No accompaniment (live, recorded or electronic) is allowed.
-- A live analog clock must be displayed and easily visible in the background for the entire length of the
Media Submission Requirements for Portfolio & Personal Question Video
-- Save and name your file as “IMdigitalsubmission_ last name."
-- Upload the file in the correct space provided.
-- When uploading, be sure to upload any video to your computer first and verify that image is upright
(not sideways) and plays smoothly.
All applicants must submit Scales and/or Rudiments, Prepared Solo per instrument, and an answer to the Personal Question.
However, depending on your instrument, your Digital Submission may look a little different.
